The Central Bank of Iraq sold 774 million dollars at a stable exchange rate along the week

 

The volume of aggregate demand to buy the dollar at the sessions of the Central Bank of Iraq this week, surpassing the 774 million dollars against 749 million dollars last week, the exchange rate stabilized over the five sessions of the week.

The central bank recorded a sales volume of total demand value of 774 million and 890 thousand dollars at the stable exchange rate of 1175 dinars per dollar, was distributed to the request of total cash $ 232 million and 870 thousand U.S. dollars at a fixed exchange of 1181 dinars for per dollar, inclusive the central bank's commission of six dinars per dollar.
While foreign remittances recorded size of request amounted to 542 million and 20 thousand dollars at the exchange rate was also stable at 1178 dinars for every dollar, inclusive the central bank's commission of three dinars per dollar.
The demand rate increase from last week, recording 154 million and 978 thousand dollars, up from the highest rates recorded, as the third quarter of the current year has recorded a rate of $ 150 million in each session.


This week witnessed the wide variations in the volume of applications to buy the dollar during the course of the auction, which registered at the Sunday meeting, less volume of demand was 91 million and 590 thousand dollars, while Tuesday's session recorded peak demand during one meeting value exceeded 211 million dollars.
The exchange rate basically stable this week as it was 1175, the central bank announced in its meetings of the last week (Thursday) on the adoption of the exchange rate until the end of office hours on Sunday, while there have been no sessions this week of auction bids to sell the dollar by the contributing banks in the Auction.


The central bank held five sessions of weekly auction, starting from Sunday to Thursday for the sale and purchase of foreign currencies, and receive a commission on the sale of six cash dinars per dollar, with the amount of commission paid three dinars per dollar on the sale of remittances outside the country.
